MXGP and Athena are pleased to announce the renewal of the partnership for the FIM Motocross World Championship and the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations. Once again, in 2018 Athena will be official partner of Youthstream, the company that manages the exclusive television, marketing and promotional worldwide rights of all the different Motocross World Championships, with the aim of promoting its brand and products.

Athena is an international group with over 40 years of history. It is structured into 3 business units which operate worldwide in different sectors. Athena’s Parts&Electronics division is global leader for the design, the development and production of Engine control units, under the brand name of GET, and for the manufacturing of high quality motor parts, in particular gaskets, cylinders, pistons, connecting rods and clutch discs.

“Youthstream is very proud and happy to have renewed this collaboration with Athena, a major stake holder of the MXGP World Championship. This global company will continue to help the Motocross World Championship to grow and to reach higher level of popularity. The level of technology and the great services Athena provides also help a big number of the riders worldwide to develop their bikes and compete in our different championships,” David Luongo, Youthstream’s Vice President said.

“We’re excited for the renewal of the partnership with MXGP, a strategic deal which gives us great visibility worldwide – says Stefania Vercesi, Athena’s Head of Marketing & Communication – Although Athena is establishing itself in different sectors, the motocross is still its core business. This agreement allows us to maintain our connections with the most important OEMs and, thanks to them, to always offer the market highly performing and competitive products.”

Athena will display as usual its logo alongside the track and it will also sell its products in the commercial area. Finally, Athena’s engineers will be present inside the paddock to support the teams and riders.
