PM: MXGP

The 2019 MXGP of Turkey, which is set to take place in Afyon during the 7th September weekend, was officially presented this afternoon at the Skybox Restaurant. Representatives from the MXGP Paddock were invited to attend the presentation as well as the international and national media and the MXGP partners. 

The meet and greet started with a presentation showing the outstanding facilities of the 2018 MXGP of Turkey, which was awarded as the best infrastructure of the calendar. This year once again the organizer will put in place numerous activities for the fans who will attend the event turning the MXGP of Turkey into a real moto festival with loads of surprises for both the MXGP community and spectators. 

The Turkish organizer made official that the riders winning each class of the MXGP of Turkey will receive an additional prize by Rebis Bodrum Luxury Collection Hotel and TMF. The winners of the MXGP, MX2, WMX and EMX2T classes will be able to enjoy a fantastic holiday in Turkey.

The meet and greet was followed by an aperitif where Youthstream CEO David Luongo, FIM/CMS Director Antonio Alia Portela, TMF PRESIDENT Bekir Yunus Uçar, TMF VICE PRESIDENTSMahmut Nedim Akülke and Ogün Baysan, Afyonkarahisar Governor Mehmet Boztepe and Afyonkarahisar Mayor Murat Önel among other Turkish delegates welcomed the MXGP Paddock to Turkey. Mr Ali Murat Önder, representing the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, was also present showing the big support this year they are giving to the MXGP of Turkey. 

Youthstream CEO David Luongo: “This presentation is really impressive, it shows the outstanding job the organizer of the MXGP of Turkey does. Besides, it is a great honour for MXGP to receive the support of the President of the Republic of Turkey, which put the MXGP of Turkey as one of the most important sporting events of the year, this is something unique and shows the growth of motocross worldwide. This is very important for our sport highlighting the raise of Motocross in countries such as Turkey and other overseas stops in the MXGP calendar. I would like to take this occasion to thank the organizer and the Turkish Federation and the city of Afyon to make the MXGP of Turkey one of the most prestigious events in the calendar.”

This year the event will be supported by the Turkish presidency who strongly believe in this sport and support us. Our president is owner of the development and growth in Turkey.
