PM: GasGas, Enduro GP of Germany

GASGAS FACTORY RACING’S ANDREA VERONA SIGNS OFF 2022 SEASON WITH ANOTHER WINNING RIDE IN ENDURO1.

NEWLY CROWNED ENDUROGP WORLD CHAMPION COMES OUT SWINGING ON DAY TWO IN GERMANY.

And that’s a wrap on Andrea Verona’s incredible 2022 season! One day on from lifting the coveted overall EnduroGP crown for the very first time, the super-smooth Italian delivered his final winning ride of the series. Delivering a near dominant performance in Enduro1 to top the class, he also placed third overall in EnduroGP. Bravo, Andrea, let the celebrations begin!

Andrea Verona: “It’s been an amazing weekend here in Germany and a great way to end the season. Winning the title yesterday was the ultimate goal for myself but also the team this year, and what we achieved hasn’t really sunk in yet. The season ended today with another great day on the bike. Third in EnduroGP and first in Enduro1, so I’m happy to finish with more strong results. With the team we’ll enjoy the moment now, take some rest, and then begin preparing for 2023.”

Even with both titles wrapped up, Verona is a true racer and lined up for day two in Germany intent on capping his incredible season with another victory. And that’s exactly what he did! Chalking up his 13th Enduro1 day win from 14 days of racing this year, the EC 250F rider very nearly delivered a perfect winning season in 2022, such was his dominance in the quarter-liter category.

With his FIM EnduroGP World Championship trophy safely packed away, Andrea was focused on victory in the EnduroGP class. Challenging for the overall win all day, the 23-year-old would ultimately place third to once again highlight his incredible speed and consistency – the two traits that unquestionably helped him secure his maiden EnduroGP title with a day of racing to spare.

And now, the off-season. Certainly deserving of a well-earned rest along with GASGAS Factory Racing after what was a truly historic year, Andrea will now enjoy a little downtime before beginning to prepare for his EnduroGP title defense in 2023.
