JORGE PRADO SHOWS IMPRESSIVE PACE AT 2023 MOTOCROSS OF NATIONS.

JORGE PRADO COMPLETES TITLE-WINNING SEASON WITH IMPRESSIVE RIDE…

The Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing squad travelled into the Motocross of Nations in Ernee, France, with the world champion, Jorge Prado, in tow, plus Simon Längenfelder. The duo was set to compete for Team Spain and Team Germany respectively, with the full support of the race team.

It was the first moto where Jorge Prado really shined aboard his MC 450F. Taking the early lead, he locked into an incredible battle that had the thousands of fans on their feet. Prado eventually took second, thanks in part to some difficult backmarkers, and turned his attention to the final moto of the event and season, where he took fourth. 2-4 scores meant that he was a single point shy of the overall in the MXGP division and led Team Spain to seventh in the final classification. A superb end to a brilliant season.

Jorge Prado: This was a great way to end the 2023 season with the Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing team. It was great to race without the championship pressure – I had a lot of fun in front of the massive crowd.Thank you to everyone in my corner for a great season, where we achieved a lot. Now let’s look ahead to 2024.“

For Simon Längenfelder, racing against the bigger bikes proved to be an almighty challenge and one that he tackled well. The first moto was brilliant – he logged a rather impressive charge to fourteenth. Charging was a necessity in moto two, as he was the victim of a terrible start and had to charge from twenty-eighth to eleventh. It was an incredibly impressive effort and one that massively helped Team Germany get fourth overall. Längenfelder was fifth in the individual MX2 overall classification.

Simon Längenfelder: What a crazy race! I am really pleased with my second moto, but I would have liked better starts against the 450F riders. Fourth is a great result for Team Germany, but a podium would’ve been amazing. We can work for that in 2024.

Just like that, a successful campaign is over. Jorge Prado gave the Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing squad plenty to cheer about during his run towards the MXGP crown – he was just brilliant on his MC 450F. All at GASGAS Factory Racing would like to thank the riders and team for their commitment to the 2023 FIM Motocross World Championship.
