GASGAS FACTORY RACING EXCITED FOR 2024 TRIALGP START.
JAIME BUSTO, SONDRE HAGA, AND JACK DANCE ARE ALL SET TO TAKE ON ROUND ONE IN JAPAN.
It’s time to head outdoors with round one of the 2024 FIM TrialGP World Championship! Fired up and ready to take on the seven-round series, GASGAS Factory Racing’s Jaime Busto, Sondre Haga, and Jack Dance are looking forward to getting their world championship campaigns underway, starting with round one in Japan on May 17-19.
Having already shown some impressive skill this year in the indoor world championship where he currently lies third overall, Jaime Busto is now ready to lead the GASGAS team outside for TrialGP. Runner-up in 2023, Jaime will undoubtedly be looking to take the fight to Toni Bou once again and go one better this year. Riding the awesome TXT GP 300, the wild Spaniard is guaranteed to give 100 percent, no matter how tough the competition.
Returning to Trial2, albeit with a slightly new challenge for 2024, Sondre Haga will be aiming to repeat the performance that took him to the title in 2022. This year, Sondre’s performance is going to be electric, literally! The Norwegian will be riding the GASGAS TXE GP, a bike he has already enjoyed success with, taking the Tr2 win in the opening round of the Spanish Trial Championship.
Haga will be joined in Trial2 by Jack Dance, riding the TXT GP 300. Jack showed impressive grit and skill in last year’s championship, securing two wins over the course of the season. With another year of world championship experience under his belt, the young Brit will be one to watch in 2024.
Starting in Japan on May 17-19, the 2024 FIM TrialGP World Championship covers seven rounds in total from May to September with the six remaining events held throughout Europe. Under the expert guidance of Albert Cabestany, GASGAS Factory Racing Trial Team Manager, the team is fully motivated and eager to get started!
Jaime Busto:“I can’t wait to get started with the TrialGP World Championship now. We have been training a lot over the winter and made some positive changes to the bike, which really seem to suit me and set us up well for the outdoor season. I feel very strong on the bike and confident with my riding. It won’t be easy, we know that, but I’m focused on giving my all as always and I’m looking forward to fighting for the title once again.”
Sondre Haga:“Obviously, this year is going to be interesting. Riding the electric bike is a new challenge for me, and to ride it in the super-competitive Trial2 class will be a huge challenge. My feeling on the bike is really good, and if I didn’t think I could mix it with the others, I don’t think I would be taking this on. But we’ve had a lot of success already this year on the bike, and now I’m more motivated than ever to show people what I can do on the TXE GP.”
Jack Dance:“I’m really looking forward to the 2024 season. I’ve spent a lot of the winter in Spain, training with the team, which has been really good for me. The aim this year is, as always, to win. I know there are some areas to improve, so I really want to remain consistent with my riding and we’ve been working hard to achieve that. I’m super-happy to be part of the GASGAS Factory Racing team and can’t wait to get the season underway in Japan.”
Albert Cabestany – GASGAS Factory Racing Trial Team Manager:“The team is really excited to get TrialGP started now. All three guys have been training hard all winter and we feel we’re well prepared for the championship. Jaime rode really well last year, really taking the fight to Toni Bou and claiming three race wins in the process. For Sondre, 2024 is going to be a different sort of challenge on top of competing in the tough Trial2 category as he rides the state-of-the-art TXE GP electric bike. Let’s not forget Jack as well – he’s shaping up to be a real contender for the crown this year, and after an intense period of training over the winter, I think he’s got huge potential. We’re looking forward to the year ahead and can’t wait to get on the gas in Japan.”
