FIM Motocross World Championship’s season is now well underway with 5 rounds completed throughout the countries of Argentina, Great Britain, the Netherlands, and Italy. As MXGP prepares to head to immediate upcoming rounds, work is well underway in Asia as the 2019 MXGPs of Indonesia and Asia prepare for racing this July on 7th and 14th respectively.
First heading to the new host city of Palembang, capital of South Sumatra, the MXGP of Indonesia is set to take place alongside the Jakabaring Sport City. Palembang, home to over 1.7 million people, is also the oldest city in all of Indonesia and will be easily accessible thanks to Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II International Airport. A Youthstream representative went for an inspection onsite to consolidate the preparation of the area and the facilities. This will be an exciting first outing for Palembang.
One week after the premier Palembang event MXGP will return to the impressive venue of Semarang for the MXGP of Asia. Semarang is the capital of central Java and first hosted MXGP in 2018 with great success. Boasting its impressive circuit, the MXGP of Asia and its enthusiastic motorsports fans are more than ready for racing.
