MXGP of Spain Ready for the Weekend After Visit from Officials.
The MXGP of Spain is geared up and ready to go after the official track presentation of the intu-Xanadù – Arroyomolinos circuit to the representatives of the Comunidad de Madrid, Sport Ministry and Arroyomolinos.
Following the success of the Spanish Grand Prix, which was held for the first time in intu-Xanadù – Arroyomolinos in 2020, the riders, paddock personnel and the huge crowd of fans that will fill the grandstands, are eager for another exhilarating weekend of racing.
The hardpack venue which was purposely built to host the FIM Motocross World Championship will see action from the MXGP and MX2 stars, along with the Women’s Motocross World Championship, EMX125 Presented by FMF Racing and the Junior e-Motocross Series.
The opening event was attended by Infront Moto Racing CEO David Luongo, FIM/CMS Director Antonio Alia Portela, RFME president Manuel Casado, FMM President Manuel Rodríguez, MXGP of Spain Organizer Diego Muñoz, Arroyomolinos Mayor Ana Millán and Alberto Tomé from the Comunidad de Madrid among others.
The attendees toured parts of the hardpack circuit that was only introduced last season to the MXGP calendar. Honda 114 Motorsports’ Ruben Fernandez, Guillem Farres and RFME riders Raul Sanchez and Elias Escandell, along with WMX riders Daniela Guillén and Gabriela Seisdedos were present for the tour and gave the officials more details on the circuit that will host the 13th round of the FIM Motocross World Championship, along with rounds of the support classes.
